Lesser bulrush
Native to the Americas, Europe and Asia. Flowering stems to 2m tall. A sterile, naked section
separates male and female segments of the inflorescences. Mature female spikes brown, to 15mm in
diameter. Generally more slender and graceful than Typha latifolia.
