Pennisetum orientale 'Tall Tails' (Poaceae)

This vigorous, heat-loving Pennisetum orientale form from Pakistan makes a border-sized upright arching clump to over 1m tall. The 20cm long early autumn plumes of tan, with a hint of pink, tower another 30cm above the foliage. A striking inflorescence when other herbaceous perennials are going over.
