Sand love grass

Native to sandy barrens and open sandy woodlands from Illinois to Colorado and Texas. It has upright, leafy flowering stems often reaching 1.2m in height. Inflorescences in July and early August, reddish pink tinted. Easily grown in sun on any well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Effective when planted in groups.
