Pampas grass

Native to Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. The quintessential ornamental grass of the Victorian era. One of the most dramatic of all ornamental grasses for flower effect. Outstanding for fresh or dried floral arrangements. Mature plants can top 3m in height, with nearly equal spread. The flower stalks are held erect, produced in late summer and early autumn, and remain attractive into winter. Requires full sun but tolerates varying soils, and established plants are extremely drought tolerant.
