From North Africa to Scandinavia and Siberia comes this extremely hardy sedge.
It can creep great distances and its stems are hollow and leafy. The leaves are approx 2m
long and 10-15mm wide, tapering to the tip, keeled, with the margin finely sharp-toothed.
Panicles are 30-70cm x 5-12cm, with spikelets 3-4mm. Summer blooming. Good for large containers.
Ht. 1.25 - 2.5m. Very hardy
