Plumed tussock grass,
hunangamoho
Endemic to New Zealand, found throughout in lowland and subalpine forests and clearings,
especially near streams. Produces huge feathery inflorescens to 2.1m tall, reminiscent of
pampas grass, Cortaderia species, but more open and airy. Summer blooming. Useful for cut
or dried flowers and makes a good feature plant.
