Carex acuta (Cyperaceae)

Slender-tufted sedge

This species can creep great distances. The leaves are glaucous with pendulous tips and the sheaths dark red-brown. Bracts are long and leaf-like. Likes full sun or shade in any wet or moisture-retentive ground.
Ht. 30 - 120cm. Very hardy
