Blue grama grass,
Mosquito grass
This diminutive grass produces its curious inflorescences in June through to September,
suspended horizontally like tiny brushes from the tip of each flowering stem. They are
strongly red-tinted at first, bleaching to straw colour. Best in a sunny garden spot near
a path or on top of a ledge, or in a decorative container, where its detail can be appreciated.
