Side-oats grass
From the Great Plains of North America comes this ornamental grass. Tussock forming,
it bears graceful, pendulous panicles of oatlike brown flowers tinged purple, which are
held mostly to one side of the inflorescens. Excellent for cutting for use both fresh and dried.
Requires full sun, but tolerates a range of soils and prolonged drought. Cut back in late autumn.
