Yellow bluestem grass

Native from southern Europe to Japan, this clump-forming ornamental grass prefers dry habitats. It has a sprawling habit with conspicuously blue-green leaves that turn purple in autumn and then straw-coloured. It is summer blooming with the inflorescences showing a dark purple tint.
